The number of Americans over 65 is increasing, and is expected to increase rapidly in the next 30 years. Due to longer life expectancies and the aging of the Baby Boom generation, estimates suggest that a full 20% of the US population will be over 65 by 2030. This increase in the aging population brings with it many concerns about the preparedness of seniors to manage consumer issues and the scams that target their population.
BBB Foundation's Senior Solutions Program is designed to educate consumers 55 years and older, their families and caregivers on issues concerning aging and threats of marketplace fraud. BBB Foundation offers free educational seminars, brochures and resources to senior groups, retirement communities, civic organizations and senior service agencies.
