Robert W.G. Andrew, President & CEO

Robert "Bob" Andrew is the President/CEO of BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington.  Bob started his BBB career as the CEO of BBB Tacoma in 1981 with 2 employees and 527 BBB Accredited Businesses, making BBB Tacoma one of the smallest BBB's in the system.  In 1993, he successfully merged BBB Tacoma with BBB Seattle to become BBB serving Western Washington.  In 1996, Bob merged with BBB Portland (Ore.), forming BBB serving Oregon and Western Washington.  With the continual growth, Bob was approached by Council of Better Business Bureaus to oversee BBB Alaska to create BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington in 2005. 

Today, BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington is the second largest BBB in the system.  It is the largest geographical BBB spanning over 690,000 square miles and has over 10,000 BBB Accredited Businesses.  He oversees a staff of nearly 70 in three regional offices, making him one of the most successful CEO's in BBB's history.

Under Bob's leadership, BBB has won the prestigious Marshall A. Mott award in 1996, 2002 and 2006.  Also in 2006, BBB was awarded The National Myers Memorial Award that recognizes exceptional examples of BBB operational work including advertising review, investigations, charity review, trade practice initiatives and education projects that result in meaningful and effective information to consumers.

Bob graduated from Central Washington University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts.  In 1971 he graduated from The American Graduate School of International Business – more commonly known as "Thunderbird" with a Master of Business Administration.  The same year, he started his career with Hallmark Cards in Los Angeles managing the prestigious Disneyland Hallmark Shop.  Soon later, he was promoted to serve as the Marketing and Sales Training Manager for Hallmark in Kansas City, Mo. 

Since working at BBB, Bob has appeared on numerous television shows, radio programs, and assisted with national events to help promote BBB as the nation's largest not-for-profit agency encouraging marketplace ethics.  In 2006, Bob was inducted into BBB's 25 Year Club. In 2011, he was personally awarded the prestigious BBB Meritorious Service Award that is given to those who have "contributed above and beyond to the good of the BBB system." Awards are allotted by the Council of Better Business Bureaus' Operations Committee, which oversees the activities of all BBBs.

Bob currently resides in Steilacoom, Washington. with his wife Susan of 46 years.  Together, they have two sons and are expecting their 3rd grandchild early this year.


Tyler Andrew, Executive Vice President

Tyler Andrew is Executive Vice President for BBB serving Alaska, Oregon & Western Washington. Tyler joined the BBB Executive Team in fall 2011 and is currently responsible for managing all aspects of business development.

Raised in Lakewood, Tyler graduated from Bellarmine High School in Tacoma and earned a golf scholarship to Boise State University, completing a Bachelor's degree in Social Science - Public Affairs in 1995. In 2004, he earned a Master's degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University, while working in West Michigan.

Tyler brings BBB 17 years of experience managing strategic communications and business development efforts for diverse companies and industries worldwide. Some of the roles he has served include: company spokesperson, strategist, executive advisor and business development director.

Tyler has a strong passion for BBB. Beginning as a teenager in the 1980s, he volunteered with BBB (then BBB Tacoma) to distribute its first consumer guide. In college, he served as an intern with BBB of Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon – playing a role in the creation of the Bureau's very first Secret Shopper Program, which is used nationwide today. Later, Tyler served as a Board Member for the same BBB advising in the day-to-day operations, fiscal management, and strategic planning process.

Tyler resides in Olympia with his wife. They are expecting a baby boy in May, 2012.

Heather Tuttle, Vice President of Finance & Human Resources

Heather Tuttle is the Vice President of Human Resources, Finance and Information Technology.  She currently oversees all aspects of Administration which includes Quality Assurance. Heather began her career with BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington in 2008 as an Accounting Manager which handled all aspects of accounts payable and receivable. Because of her attention to detail, she was promoted as Director of Finance and has since worked her way up to her current position.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2011. She is a member of both the society of Human Resource Management and the Association for Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business.

Heather currently resides in Lakewood, Washington and is expecting her first child in early 2012.

Niki Horace, Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations

Niki Horace is the Vice President of Marketing and Publications at BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington. Niki was born in Missoula, Montana, but lived most of her life in Federal Way, Washington.  After declining fast pitch scholarships, Niki attended the University of Oregon and earned a degree from the School of Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising. Niki started her career in real estate marketing promoting new homes, designing sales centers, furnishing models, landscape design and sales. Since 2008, Niki has dedicated her career to educating consumers, working with businesses and promoting BBB throughout all three states. She currently oversees Marketing, Public Relations, BBB Foundation, Charity Review and BBB Publications.

In 2010, Niki was nominated for Portland's Business Journal Forty under 40 that recognizes young and talented business leaders in the Portland region who are making significant contributions in their field of expertise.

Niki is passionate about working with high school students, senior citizens and the general public to educate on identity theft, scam prevention and to provide tips to businesses on marketplace ethics. Niki works with media and government agencies to educate consumers/businesses on current scams and unethical business practices. In addition, she assists outside BBB's with marketing/advertising opportunities as well as all sales, creation and distribution of BBB Buyer Guides nationwide.

Niki currently resides in Gig Harbor, Washington with her husband, two children and three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys remodeling old homes and spending time with friends and family.

Tae Ashman, Vice President of Operations

Tae Ashman is the Vice President of Operations at BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington.  Tae oversees all areas of operations, including BBB Accreditation, BBB Services and Dispute Resolution. 

Born in California, but raised in Washington, Tae has dedicated more than a decade of her career to BBB. She joined BBB in 2000 as a Customer Service Consultant where she answered phones and processed complaints. 

A fast and passionate learner, Tae quickly expanded her roles and responsibilities, serving all other service areas of BBB including Accreditation, Charity Review, Ad Review, and assisting the launch of the BBBOnline Program. She also played a pivotal role in BBB's office relocation from SeaTac to DuPont, Washington in 2002.

In 2005, she successfully helped create and manage the BBB Yellow Page Department which produces an annual directory of BBB Accredited Businesses. In 2011, Tae was promoted to Director of Operations and in 2012 joined the Executive Team as Vice President of Operations.

Tae currently lives in Puyallup, Washington with her two kids. In her spare time, she enjoys martial arts and spending time with her kids.
