After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday, consumers with remaining funds may be spending their bucks on lotteries on Nov. 28: Gambling Wednesday.

According to Powerball.com, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510.

While Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington does not endorse gambling, for those who choose to participate, here are BBB’s best bets:
Only support official state and federal lotteries. It is illegal for U.S. citizens to engage in foreign lotteries.
Only purchase tickets from official retailers. Don’t buy from unauthorized online sellers or scalpers.
Only spend what can be risked. Moderation and self-control are key.
Only play for fun. Gambling is not for investment purposes.

Winners? Save. Don’t spend it all in one place.
