April 8, 2010 – Better Business Bureau's Business of the Year Torch Awards program honors local businesses of high integrity. BBB is proud to announce our Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington winners of BBB's 2010 Business of the Year Torch Awards:
Western Washington:
Large Business of the Year: Empire Today of Kent, Wash.
Small Business of the Year: Ron Pace's Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center of Tacoma, Wash.
Oregon:
Business of the Year: Roe Motors GM of Grants Pass, Ore.
Alaska:
Business of the Year: Earhart Roofing Company, Inc of Anchorage, Alaska.
"This program gives BBB a chance to recognize businesses that make a positive impact in the marketplace," said Robert W.G. Andrew, CEO of BBB serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington. "Finalists must demonstrate a dedication to ethics, community involvement, customer service, and innovative business practices. The winners must prove their merit in all categories."
Businesses were nominated by the public for demonstrating exemplary business practices. Finalists' entries are evaluated and judged by community members from third party businesses and organizations.
BBB is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Business of the Year Torch Awards. Submit an entry online.
