Shred Day Supports ID Theft Prevention

Better Business Bureau is offering free document shredding and cell phone recycling at Secure Your ID Day in Mukilteo, Wash., and Clatsop County, Ore. BBB encourages residents to safely dispose of items to help support identity theft prevention education.

Saturday, May 19, 2012: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Harbour Pointe Retirement: 10200 Harbour Place, Mukilteo, Wash. 98275

  • Drop off up to three bags or boxes of paperwork per person for shredding by American Data Guard. No cardboard or three-ring binders.
  • Discard old cell phones to domestic violence victims through Verizon’s HopeLine.
  • Donate new or gently-used blankets and towels for BBB’s Recycle the Warmth drive to benefit Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. Donations are voluntary.
